٢٥٥ باب النهي عن إظهار الشماتة بالمسلم
Translation: [ Believing in Preordainment is one of the articles of faith as stated by the Hadith that says:

Chapter 255: About the Forbiddance of Showing
Hadith
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَيْمُونِ عَنْ ابْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْن عَبْد الله قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوَلَالله صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ أَنَّ مَا أَصَابَهُ لَمْ يَكُن لِيُخْطِئَهُ وَأَنَّ مَا أَخْطَأَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَهُ قَالَ أبو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عُبَادَةً وَجَابِرٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ عَمْرٍو وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثٍ عَبْدِ الله بْن مَيْمُون وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ ابْنُ مَيْمُونِ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيث
Translation: Narrated Jaber ibn Abdullah; " The Messenger of Allah said: “ A servant will not be considered a believer till he believes in Preordainment whether pleasing or displeasing and till he believes that what had befallen him was not to miss him and what had missed him was not to befall him. "
The Noble Koran states that we should believe that no calamity befalls a creature except that it had been preordained for him before the creation of the heavens and the earth. This tenet puts the human being at ease as regards what he would suffer in this life. Allah said:
الْقُرْآنُ الْكَرِيمُسُورَةُ الحَدِيدِ (57:22)
مَا أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِ
( سُورَةُ الحَدِيدِ (57:22) )
Translation: " No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfooz), before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allah جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ 77 S: 57-22.
Translation: Thus, if man is required not to rejoice or grieve for what befalls him, he is required not to rejoice or grieve for what befalls others. Rejoicing at others ' misfortunes disparages one's faith. It is a proof of deficiency and shakable belief.
Translation: Now, let us read what Imam Al-Nawawi compiled in the same concern.]
Allah said:
الْقُرْآنُ الْكَرِيمُسُورَةُ الحُجُرَاتِ (49:10)
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
( سُورَةُ الحُجُرَاتِ (49:10) )
Translation: " The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islam). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy * S: 49-10. And
الْقُرْآنُ الْكَرِيمُسُورَةُ النُّورِ (24:19)
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
( سُورَةُ النُّورِ (24:19) )
Translation: " Verily, those who like that Al-Fahisha (any indecent practice) should be spread among those who believe, will have a painful torment in this world and in the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you know not S: 24-19.
Translation: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

٨٧٦- حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْبَاط بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوَلَاللَّهُ ) . الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لا يَخُونُهُ وَلا يَكْذِبُهُ وَلا يَخْذُلُهُ كُلُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ عِرْضَهُ وَمَالُهُ وَدَمَهُ التَّقْوَى هَا هُنَا بحسب امْرِئٍ مِنْ الشَّرِّ أَنَّ يَحْتَقَرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ قَالَ أَبو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَأَبِي أَيٌُُّّّوبَ
Translation: 876. Narrated Abu-Huraira; Allah's Messenger said: " All Muslims are brothers. A muslim does not wrong his fellow-Muslim, desert him, nor despise him. Piety is found here - (pointing three times to his chest-despising one's
Translation: Muslim brother is enough evil for any man to do. Every Muslim's blood, property and honor are unlawful to be violated by another Muslim. " (At-Termizi).

۸۷۷- حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْن مُجَالُدٍّ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْحَذَّاءُ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ بُرْدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ وَائِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوَلَاللَّهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا تُظهر السَّمَاتَةَ لأخِيكَ فَيَرْحَمَهُ اللَّهُ وَيَبْتَلِيكَ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَمَكْحُول قَدْ سَمِعَ مِنْ وَاتَّلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ وَأَنَّسِ بْنِ مَالِكِ وَأَبِي هند الدَّارِيِّ وَيُقَالُ إِنَََََّّّّّْهُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيََََُُِِّّّّّّّّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَؤُلاءِ الثَّلاثَةِ وَمَكْحُول شَامِيٌّ يُكْنَى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَكَانَ عَبْدًا فَأَعْتِقَ وَمَكْحُولٌ الْأَرْدِيُّ بَصَرِي سَمِعَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عُمَرَ يَرْوِي يَرْوِي عَنْهُ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ كَثِيرًا مَا كُنتُ أَسْمَعُ مَكْحُولا يُستِلُ فَيَقُولُ نَدَانَمْ
Translation: 877. Narrated Wa'ila ibn Al-Asqa'a; " The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “ Do not show schadenfreude at your brother's (misfortune) lest Allah should release him and inflict you. "
