Chapter 220: About Adhering to the Acts of Worship during Turmoil
Hadith 746: Hadith 746
٧٤٦ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : عَنِ النَّبِيََََُُِِّّّّّّّّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : ( يُقْبَضُ الْعِلْمُ ، وَيَظْهَرُ الجَهْلُ وَالٍفِتَنُ ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهُ ) . ، وَمَا الْهَرْجُ قَالَ هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ فَحَرفَهَا ، كَأَنََّّهُ يُريدُ الْقَتْلُ . رواه البخاري
Translation: 746. Narrated Abu-Horaira: ' The Prophet said: " (Religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious scholars), ignorance (in religion) and turmoil will appear, and Haraj will increase. " It was asked: " What is Haraj? O Allah's Messenger? " He beckoned with his hand indicating killing. " (Bukhari)

٧٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ زِيَادِ رَدَّهُ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ بْن قُرَّةَ رَدَّهُ إِلَى مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ رَدَّهُ إِلَى النَّبِيََََُُِِّّّّّّّّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْعِبَادَةُ فِي الْهَرْجِ كَالْهِجْرَةِ إِلَيَّ قَالَ أبو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيث صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ إِنَََََّّّّّْمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثٍ حَمَّادِ ابْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْمُعَلَى
Translation: 747. Narrated Ma'aqil ibn Yasar (attributing it to the Prophet): " Clinging to the acts of worship during commotion is equal in reward to migration. "
