Chapter 289: About Dislike of Al Ihtiba ' on Friday while the Imam delivers the Sermon
Hadith 966: Hadith 966
٩٦٦ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ وَعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمِنْ الْمُقْرِئُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ بْنِ أَبِي أَيٌُُّّّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْحُومٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَادٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنََّّ النَّبِيَََََُُِّّّّّّّّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَبْوَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ قَالَ أَبو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَأَبُو مَرْحُومٍ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ وَقَدْ كَرِهَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ الْحِبْوَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ وَرَحْصَ فِي ذَلكَ بَعْضُهُمْ مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهُ ) . بْنُ عُمَرَ وَغَيْرُهُ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَقُ لَا يَرَيَانِ بِالْحَبْوَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ بَأْسًا •
Translation: 966. Narrated Sahl ibn Mo'az on the authority of his father; ' The Prophet forbade the worshipper to do Al " Ihtiba ' on Friday while the imam is delivering the sermon. " (At-Termizi).
Translation: Abu-Issa said; " This Hadith is Hasan and a group people of knowledge disliked that the worshipper does Al ' Ihtiba ' on Friday while the imam is delivering the sermon. Another group out of them are Abdullah ibn Omar and others saw it is permissible. This is the same view of Ahmed and Ishaq who saw no harm in doing it. '
