Chapter 81: About Superiority of Modesty
Hadith 316: Hadith 316
٣١٦ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرْ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ الأَنْصَارِ ، وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ ، فَقَالَ : رَسُوَلَاللَّهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ( دَعْهُ فَإِنَََََّّّّّْ الْحَيَاءَ من الإيمان ) رواه البخاري
Translation: 316. Narrated Ibn Omar: may Allah be pleased with them ' Once Allah's Messenger passed by an Ansari (man) who was admonishing his brother regarding modesty. At that, Allah's Messenger said: " Leave him as shyness is a part of faith. " (Bukhari)
Hadith 317: Hadith 317
۳۱۷- عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْن حُصَيْنِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ ) . عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيََََُُِِّّّّّّّّ : الحَيَاءُ لَا يَأْتِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرِ . رواه البخاري
Translation: 317. Narrated ' Imran ibn Hosayn ' The Prophet said: " Modesty does not bring anything except good. " (Bukhari)
Hadith 318: Hadith 318
۳۱۸ - عَنْ أَبي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ ) . عَنْهُ ، عَن النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : : ( الْإِيمَانُ بِضَعٌ وَسَتّونَ شُعْبَةُ ، وَالٍحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ من الإيمان ) رواه البخاري
Translation: 318. Narrated Abu-Huraira: ' The Prophet said: " Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty sub-divisions or branches (parts). And modesty (This term Haya'a covers a large number of concepts which are to be taken together; amongst them are self-respect, modesty, bashfulness and honor, etc.) is a part of faith. " (Bukhari)
