Chapter 74: About Bearing Harm

Chapter Introduction

٧٤ ـ باب في احتمال الأذى

Translation: Allah said:

الْقُرْآنُ الْكَرِيمُسُورَةُ آلِ عِمۡرَانَ (3:134)
الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
( سُورَةُ آلِ عِمۡرَانَ (3:134) )

Translation: " Those who spend (in Allah's Cause) in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men, verily, Allah loves the ones who do good. * " (3: 134) And

الْقُرْآنُ الْكَرِيمُسُورَةُ الشُّورَىٰ (42:43)
وَلَمَن صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ
( سُورَةُ الشُّورَىٰ (42:43) )

Translation: " And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives, that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. * (42: 43)

Hadith 299: Hadith 299

۲۹۹ - حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوحَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا الْجَعْدُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءِ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهُ ) . صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : مِنْ كَرِهَ مِنْ أَمِيرِه شَيْئًا فَلْيَصْبِرْ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَََََّّّّّْهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسَ خَرَجَ مِنَ السُّلْطَانِ شِبْرًا فَمَاتَ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

Translation: 299. Narrated Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them: ' The Prophet said: " Whoever disapproved something done by his ruler then he should be patient, for whoever disobeys the ruler even a little (little = a span will die as those who died in the Period of Ignorance (i.e. as a rebellious a sinner). " " "

The other version of the Hadith says: " Whoever notices something which he dislikes done by his ruler, then he should be patient, for whoever becomes separate from the company of the Muslims even for a span and then dies, he will die as those who died in the Period of Ignorance (as rebellious sinners). " (Bukhari)
