Translation: Allah said:

Translation: " Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband's absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband's property). As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allah is Ever Most High, Most Great. * " (4:34)

Hadith 166: Hadith 166

Translation: 166. Narrated Abu-Huraira: ' Allah's Messenger said: " If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relations) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her until the morning. " (Bukhari)

Hadith 167: Hadith 167

The imam (i.e. ruler) is the guardian of his subjects and is responsible for them. A man is the guardian of his family and is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it. A servant is the guardian of his master's belongings and is responsible for them. " I thought that Ibn Omar said: ' I think the Prophet also said: " A man is the guardian of his father's property and is responsible for it. All of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and the things under your care. " (Bukhari)
