Chapter 108: About the Manner of Drinking
Hadith 367: Hadith 367
٣٦٧ - عَنْ أَنَسِ : أَن النبي صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كان يتنفس في الإِنََََّّّّْاءِ ثَلَاثًا . رواه البخاري
Translation: 367. Narrated (Thomama ibn Abdullah): ' Anas used to (breathe) twice or thrice (while drinking while the mouth of the jar was not touching his lips). Anas said that the Prophet used to take three breaths while drinking. ' (Bukhari)
Hadith 368: Hadith 368
٣٦٨ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : : نَهى رَسُوَلَاللَّهُ ) . صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الشَّرْبِ مِنْ فَمِ الْقُرْبَةِ أو السَّقَاءِ ، وَأَنَّ يَمْتَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ جارَهُ أنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَهُ فِي دَارِهِ . رواه البخاري
Translation: 368. Narrated Abu-Huraira: ' Allah's Messenger forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin or other leather containers, and forbade preventing one's neighbor from fixing a peg in (the wall of) one's house. " (Bukhari)
Hadith 369: Hadith 369
٣٦٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْب حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سِنَانِ الْجَزَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ لِعَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوَلَاللَّهُ ) . صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَشْرَبُوا وَاحِدًا كَشُرْبِ الْبَعِيرِ وَلَكِنِ اشْرَبُوا مَثْنَى وَثَلَاثَ وَسَمُّوا إِذَا أَنْتُمْ شَرِبْتُمْ وَاحْمَدُوا إِذَا أَنْتُمْ رَفَعْتُمْ قَالَ أبو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ سنَانِ الْجَزَرِيُّ هُوَ أَبُو فَرْوَةَ الرُّهَاوِيُّ *
Translation: 369. Narrated ibn Abbas: ' The Messenger of Allah said: " Do not drink as the camel does. But drink with two or three breaks. Recite Basmala when you start drinking and thank Allah when you have drunk. " (At-Termizi)
Hadith 370: Hadith 370
۳۷۰- حَدَّثَنَا الأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالك قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِكِ عَن ابْن شهَاب عَنْ أَنَس أَنَّ النَّبِيَََََُُِّّّّّّّّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلَبَن قَدْ شِيبَ بِمَاءِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ أَعْرَابِيٌّ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَََّّّ أَعْطَى الْأَعْرَابِيَّ وَقَالَ الْأَيْمَنَ فَالْأَيْمَنَ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدِ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهُ ) . بْنِ بُسْرٍ قَالَ أَبو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Translation: 370. Narrated Anas: ' Some milk mixed with water was brought to the Prophet and a nomad was sitting on his right and Abu-Bakr was on his left. The Prophet drank then he gave it to the nomad saying: " The one on the right side is worthier of drinking first. " " (At-Termizi)
Translation: 2 The Messenger of Allah forbade this because it is improper conduct that a Muslim would shun. It should be obvious that it is permissible.
Hadith 371: Hadith 371
۳۷۱- عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الخدْرِي قالَ : نَهى رَسُوَلَاللَّهُ ) . صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ اخْتِنَاثِ الأَسْقِيَة . يَعْنِي الشَّرْب مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهَا . رواه البخاري
Translation: 371. Narrated Abu-Sa'eed Al-Khudri: " Allah's Messenger forbade bending the mouths of the water skins for the sake of drinking from them. ' (Bukhari)
